GROUP CLASS INTRODUCTIONS
Andy’s workout
Begin with a 5-10 minute warm up of light cardio dance, dynamic stretch (walking in place, jumping jack, toes touch.ect) The main routine involves supersets targeting from the top to toes including the shoulders, chest, back, hips, glutes, thighs, and arms as well as core muscles. The workout ends with a soothing stretch for the entire body with the BIG SMILES!.
Asthanga Yoga
Asthanga yoga is a dynamic and slightly challenging form of hatha This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing internal heat. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. Belly dance
Belly Dance has been part of middle eastern cultural traditions for a great many years, adapted fused into group classes now fun and exercise at the same time. Concentrating on abdominal movements interlinked with shoulder rolls, torso undulations, turns, and arm waves giving a thorough workout.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha is a very general term that can encompass many of the physical types of yoga. If a class is described as Hatha style, it is probably going to be slow-paced and gentle and provide a good introduction to the basic yoga poses.
Pilates
Developed by Joseph Pilates -This exercise system focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury. Joseph believed that many people have imbalanced bodies because they overdevelop the stronger muscle groups, which leads to poor posture and spinal misalignment.
Power yoga
is a more vigorous, fitness-based approach to yoga. Most power yoga does not follow a set series of poses. Therefore, any power yoga class can vary widely from the next. What they have in common is an emphasis on strength and flexibility. The advent of power yoga heralded yoga's current popularity, as people began to see yoga as a way to work out. Power yoga brought yoga into the gyms of America.
Quick Fit
This is Calisthenics training. Calisthenics refers to exercises that are done in a rhythmic, systematic way using the body weight for resistance. You can also call it as circuit training or boot camp training. This workout is efficient because you work your entire body-- heart and muscles--by going from one exercise to another with no rest. The workouts involve calisthenics like pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and other body weight exercises...the difference lies in the intensity. In Quick Fit, your challenge is to take your body to its limit. You work, you sweat and, best of all, you burn calories like crazy.
Spinning
Spinning classes –aerobics on wheels- are suitable for everybody-spinning class will develop your cardiovascular strength and endurance like no other workout. Your instructor will lead you through different styles of rides with motivational music and class instruction.
Step Aerobics
High or low impact step aerobics can burn 30 - 60 % more calories than traditional aerobics with particular emphasis on hips, thighs, abdominals, and buttocks.
Power Step
is a higher intensity variation of a traditional step class, using more complex choreography.
Step Crunch
a step class with more focus on abdominals and core strengthening exercises, to keep your midriff tight.
